16 Red drops only 1 set in victory

The ladies of 16 Red headed into Westecheter County to continue their progress as a team and show what they have learned. This 16 Red team showed and proved that lessons have been learned.

Alpha Gamma 16 Club tournament in the College of New Rochelle was a great proving ground. Every lady who played made a difference in each and every set played throughout the day.

The team led by Coach Vanessa dropped only one set all day as they walked past Essex in the Semifinals and Apex in the Finals to win the day.

Great job ladies.

18 Red falls short of a 3 peat

Another good finish for 18 Red

18 Red was trying to do something no other Phoenix Volleyball NJ team had done previously. 3 consecutive tournament wins.

The start was good as the Ladies won the both sets of their opening Pool Play match against Allegro 18 Red. 18 Red ran into a little trouble against WWVBC 18-1 splitting the sets to go 3-1 on the morning. In their next match of  2 sets, they also split the sets against Sixpak 18s to go 4-2 with one match to play.  18 Red needed both sets to have a chance at advancing to the playoffs and defeated ECC 18 South Black both sets to finish 6-2 and 2nd in pool play on points to WWVBC 18-1.

With a chance to win their 3rd tournament in succession they took on Sportime 18 Gold. Sportime 18 Gold proved to be too tough for 18 Red and defeated 18 Red and continued to win the tournament.

18 Red finished March with 2 Tournament victories and a 3rd place finish. An great month for this amazing staff and players.
